I’m from Lisbon and I created O Tuk do João to show Lisbon in a simple, relaxed and authentic way.
After a few years in another professional field, I realized that what I enjoyed most was sharing the city where I live — the stories, the neighborhoods, the viewpoints, and the small details that often go unnoticed by those visiting Lisbon for the first time.
Why I created O Tuk do João
The idea was never to offer a series of tourist excursions.
I wanted to create a personal service, where each tour is different, because each person is also different.
No rehearsed speeches, no rush, and no large groups.
I adapt the route to what the client wants to see, stopping when it makes sense, chatting, and explaining the city calmly.
What are the tours like?
The tours are:

- Flexible and adjustable on the spot
- In Portuguese or English
I’ll show you the most emblematic places in Lisbon, but I also like to visit less touristy areas and tell stories that only those who live in the city know.
