In 2009 I left the Pearl of the Atlantic (Madeira Island) to live in the greater Lisbon.

It was a decade of personal and professional enrichment, and this year I decided to dedicate myself to what I really enjoy: driving and getting to know my country!

And being able to share it with you… feeds my soul!

Lisbon

  • Alfama

Lisbon (full day)

After this tour you will have a detailed view of Lisbon.

Come and discover Alfama, a typical Lisbon neighbourhood, the Lisbon Cathedral, the São Jorge Castle and the beautiful view from Portas do Sol over the Tagus River. Go up to the Miradouro da Senhora do Monte and marvel at the view over the entire city.

Then descend down the hill and up the hill, towards the Miradouro de São Pedro de Alcântara. What a view again! We continue to the waterfront, Time Out Market and on to Belém. The famous Pastéis de Nata and the Jerónimos Monastery.

We cross to the riverside and see the Belém Tower. Further on, the beautiful Padrão dos Descobrimentos and we return along the river to Baixa.

Lisbon (half day)

Come and discover the typical neighborhoods and viewpoints of Lisbon or Belém.

Option 1 – Between the historic area of Alfama, Castelo de São Jorge, the view from Portas do sol or from the viewpoint of Senhora do Monte… we continue to Baixa where we have three squares side by side, namely Rossio and National Theatre, going up the hill to the viewpoint of São Pedro de Alcântara, going down to Time Out, and returning to Praça do Comércio where the historical city gate is located. A beautiful tour to discover Baixa Pombalina and the historic part of Lisbon.

Option 2 – If you are more curious about going to Belém, it will also be a beautiful tour. We go to the Lx Factory, then we go to the Jerónimos Monastery. We cross to the side of Belém Tower and Padrão dos Descobrimentos ahead. We then head along the riverbank to Praça do Comércio, where we end up with the beautiful Portas de Santo Antão.

Lisbon by Night

Come and see the illuminated monuments throughout the city. How beautiful is the 25 de Abril Bridge with Cristo Rei resplendent on the other side.

We continue along the river to Alfama and what better way to end the night than a nice dinner to the sound of Fado?

After this evening, you will certainly be anxious to get to know our country better!

Sintra and Lisbon’s coast

  • Palácio da Pena

Sintra, Azenhas do Mar, Cabo da Roca, Guincho and Cascais (full day)

If you want a memorable day in your life, come and visit the colorful Pena Palace or immerse yourself in the fantastic and visit Quinta da Regaleira.

After marveling at any of these monuments, come and enjoy a short tour through the town of Sintra and get closer to the huge National Palace of Sintra and feel part of this UNESCO World Heritage Site!

After a morning, we head towards one of the most beautiful areas in Portugal: Azenhas do Mar. The view from the viewpoint is breathtaking!

If you enjoy seafood, you’ll be delighted with the freshest you could find!

Then we continue to Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of continental Europe!

We continue towards Guincho and in winter, we will have the opportunity to witness the most beautiful sunset you have ever witnessed.

On the way to the colorful city of Cascais and return to Lisbon along the waterfront.

Sintra only (half day)

Embark on this visit to the majestic Pena Palace and the mystical Quinta da Regaleira! After marveling at these two buildings, come and enjoy a beautiful free walk through the alleys of Sintra and take the opportunity to visit the National Palace with its unique chimneys! You will feel as if you have traveled 300 years back in time…

Fátima, Alcobaça, Batalha, Nazaré, Óbidos (full day)

If you’d like to feel what it’s like to live inside a Castle, come with me on this tour.

A day where you will see the wonderful Castle of Óbidos with its imposing walls and small houses where the locals live and taste the famous Óbidos ginjinha!

After this visit through medieval times, we’ll head to Nazaré. land of giant waves! From the Fort of São Miguel Arcanjo, the view is divided: on the right we have the endless Praia Grande, and on the left the fishing village, where we will enjoy a beautiful lunch!

We continue to the Monastery of Alcobaça, one of the 7 wonders of Portugal and then to the Dominican Monastery in Batalha, both UNESCO Heritage Sites.

And what better ending could we have than Fatima, where the Sanctuary is located, a place of peace where everyone is welcome!

Afterwards, we can only return to Lisbon and you will see that this day will remain in your memory forever!

Fátima only (half day)

If you appreciate the serenity of a space, then you must visit the Sanctuary of Fátima.

Filled with the unique richness of one of the most important Sanctuaries in the World!

Many pilgrims visit this place to have their moment of reflection, introspection and peace!

Tomar and Almourol castle

  • Almourol

Spend a day in the Portuguese villages of Constância and Tomar to discover the history of the Knights Templar. Your trip will start in Lisbon.

Tomar was the Templar capital of Portugal and one of the most important in the medieval world. The main monument in the city is the Convent of Tomar, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

We continue to the magnificent Castelo de Bode dam. One of the most important Portuguese dams and the tallest buildings in Portugal.

Going down we will find Almourol Castle.

Soon after, we will see Constância, the birthplace of Luís de Camões. You will see a landscape that will remain in your memory.

We return to Lisbon after this day full of history and the richest monuments of our Portugal.

Arrábida, Setúbal and Azeitão

  • Quinta da Bacalhoa

Come spend a different day. We will cross the 25 de Abril Bridge, towards Quinta Bacalhoa, a beautiful estate.

Alternatively, in Vila de Azeitão, we also have the José Maria Fonseca Cellars, which since 1834 have been producing the good Periquita Wine and the so typical Moscatel de Setúbal.

We then continue to Serra da Arrábida, where you can see the Atlantic and the Tróia Peninsula. On the way we have the old Franciscan Monastery and the Convent of Nossa Senhora da Arrábida.

We continue to Setúbal, the land of the traditional Choco Frito, which is a good choice for lunch.

To end this fantastic day, we head to Palmela, home to the imposing 8th century castle, and beside it, the Pousada de Palmela is over 500 years old and in perfect condition.

After this beautiful day, we can only return to our starting point in Lisbon.

Évora

  • Évora – templo romano

Come and spend an unforgettable day in Évora, where we can find the three famous and imposing monuments of the Temple of Diana, the Chapel of Bones and the Roman Ruins.

Afterwards, how about a wine tasting? There are several wine cellars throughout the district. And with a rich lunch of the best in traditional Portuguese food.

I’m sure it will be a day to never forget!
